Sapan Verma is one of India’s leading standup Comedians. He is the co-founder of the East India Comedy, a group of Indian Comedians that perform Comedy Shows, Workshops and Corporate Events.
East India Comedy claims to the busiest comedy company with a record of 130 shows across the country in the calendar year 2013.
Sapan Verma has performed in more than 1000 live shows in India and across the World in locations like New York, Tokyo, Paris, Dubai, Barcelona, Singapore and Beijing.
In 2016, his solo show Obsessive Comedic Disorder, which then went on to become India’s first comedy special to feature on Amazon Prime Video. He was awarded as India’s New Age Most Versatile Comedian 2016 by WCRC.
Sapan is also freelancer writer and he has not only written content for some of the well-known National TV shows like IIFA Awards, Filmfare Awards and Star Guild Awards but also for Bollywood Celebrities like Shahrukh Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, and many more.
In 2018, Sapan Verma was part of Comicstaan as a Judge which gained him a lot of Fame and Exposure.
Before getting famous, Sapan used to write TV shows for Zoom TV, NDTV Goodtimes, Colors, Star Plus. In spare time, he teaches filmmaking and scriptwriting to media students of Jai Hind College.

Sapan Verma was born on May 8, 1989, and he is the youngest of all three brothers. He grew up in Mhow, a little military cantonment in Indore, Madhya Pradesh and always used to exceeded expectations in studies.
In an interview with HighlightsIndia he says
“My dad was in the Indian Railway, so he had a traveling job. After my board exams (2005), I visited Mumbai — where my dad was transferred — during the summer vacations. I applied to the top three city colleges and got through, so I moved here.”
Sapan’s talent and artistic skills have made him successful and stand out from the crowd. The Comedy Scene in India is changing and he is definitely the next big thing!
